Blessed are you, pilgrim, if you discover that the camino is a lot about silence; and silence, about prayer; and prayer, about the encounter with the Divine waiting for you.

The Invitation

Walk and Rest. Meditate, Pray, Contemplate. Breath, Eat, Sleep and Dream. Unplug. Look, Listen, Feel….

For three days, let us move and be moved, individually together, across the ancient, wild and storied lands of the southwestern Algarve. During our time together we will contemplate collapse and creation through ancient and contemporary stories written on the landscape and dream together under the wisdom of the stars.

Logistics

Pilgrims meet on Friday, 11 April, beginning at 8h30 at a site near Praia Monte Clerigo, Aljezur. Exact details sent via email after registration. Upon arrival, each pilgrim will be given a special guidebook to accompany their journey. Within are stories, contemplations and practices for each day. The collective pilgrimage begins at 9h00.

Pilgrims are welcome to move at their own pace, but are encouraged not to rush. Rest as needed. Break for lunch together with Lorie around 12h30 or at your own time. A designated campout spot for each night will be pre-selected and pilgrims will be informed of the locations on registration.

Pilgrims are responsible for providing for their own camping gear and food needs. Daily transport for extra luggage, camping gear, and food will be available. Pilgrims should bring enough water for the day’s hike. Plenty of water to refill will be provided every afternoon/evening and morning at the campsite via our support team. Days 2 and 3 begin with morning contemplative practice at 8h00. Walk begins at 8h30. Details will be found in your guidebook.

We will arrive back at our starting point on Sunday, 13 April for a closing ritual at 14h. Our support team will be onsite for pilgrims to retrieve any belongings. And we will say farewell.
